Handmade Curtains
Our curtains are made to measure and hand stitched throughout. We use a high quality interlining to give a full bodied look to the curtains or blackout lining for a bedroom or child's room. We always use 100% cotton linings designed to protect the curtain fabric from the effects of sunlight.

Curtain headings to choose from:
We have listed below some of our most popular headings. The heading you choose is dependent on a number of factors from the formality or otherwise of the look you are trying to create, to more practical considerations such as the way the curtain hangs and draws back. We will be on hand to advise you on which heading will work best in your particular situation during your Home Consultation.
If there are any other headings you would like, please do get in touch to discuss this further
Triple Pleat or French Pleat - A traditional, formal heading made up of three pleats grouped together, the style is best suited to long, floor-length curtains particularly as it encourages the curtains to hang in attractive, orderly folds. The pleat depth is typically 12.5cm. Our most popular curtain heading.
Double Pleat -A slightly less formal heading than the triple pleat and comprising two pleats grouped together. A good compromise if you want long curtains that hang in orderly folds, but in a slightly more relaxed style than the triple pleat/French pleat. Also great if you don’t have a huge amount of drawback space either side of your window.
Goblet Pleat - An impressive formal pleat that adds an opulent elegance to a room – particularly well suited for period properties and great for long curtains made from rich heavy fabric. This style can also be embellished with buttons or trimmings and looks good in a child's bedroom.
Cartridge Pleat - Basically a goblet pleat that hasn’t been folded and stitched in at the base. The cylinder runs seamlessly from the pleat into the main body of the curtains. A contemporary interpretation of the goblet pleat, which is good for long curtains made from rich, heavy fabric.
Pencil Pleat - Pencil pleats have a slightly simple, rustic look. The pleat can be as deep or as shallow as you wish, so as to best suit the proportions of the room in which the curtains are hung. Often used behind pelmets. Pencil pleat headings are machine sewn in rather than the traditional handsewn headings.
Eyelet Pleat - Metal eyelets are punched through a stiffened heading giving a stunning, simple and contemporary heading. They eyelets are threaded onto a metal pole. Eyelet curtains do not take up much room at the sides since they are not gathered in the traditional way so they are ideal for areas where space is limited
